About Me
Welcome to my portfolio website! My name is Evelyn Upchurch, a Creative Technology & Design major at CU Boulder, and a passionate, aspiring UX/UI designer. I have always been fascinated by the intersection of design and technology, and I am constantly seeking out new ways to create intuitive and user-friendly experiences. I have a professional background in web development for the DoD, which has allowed me to develop a keen eye for aesthetic data visualization and user-friendly interactions. I am currently majoring in Creative Technology and Design, allowing me to develop graphical interfaces and pleasing visual communications. I also work as a UI/UX Design Intern for LMI on the RAPTR project.
My Work
As a UX/UI designer, my goal is to create meaningful and engaging digital experiences for users. From designing intuitive interfaces to crafting a seamless user journey, my work is centered around enhancing the overall user experience. I believe that good design is not just about aesthetics, but also about functionality and usability. With this in mind, I strive to develop designs that not only look visually appealing, but also serve a purpose and make the user's life easier.
- User Research and Testing - Conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights and feedback to inform design decisions.
- Wireframing and Prototyping - Creating low and high fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on the user interface design.
- Visual Design - Utilizing design principles, color theory, and typography to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for websites and mobile applications.
Portfolio
A portfolio is a powerful tool for any designer, serving as a reflection of one's skills, creativity, and personal brand. As an aspiring UI/UX designer, my portfolio is a representation of my journey, showcasing my growth and potential in this ever-evolving field. I have worked mostly in the DoD side of UI/UX, so specific projects may only be shown upon request, however I have many academic projects curated.
